Malkova was introduced to the adult film industry by adult actress Natasha Malkova, who was a school friend of hers. She is known for her flexibility. She is represented by the agency Matrix Models.

She chose the name Mia Malkova to sound more Russian, indicating in an interview that she felt it a more appealing name like that of a European supermodel.
